Article: First Climate+ train to China
On 6 June 2026, DB Cargo Eurasia, in collaboration with China Railway Container Transport Corp. Ltd. and Yiwu Timex Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. launched a special train from Duisburg.
On 24 June 2026, carrying 39 containers, it arrived on schedule in Yiwu in China’s Yangtze Delta.
Today, international supply chains must be economical, reliable and, at the same time, more climate-friendly. With the Climate+ train between Duisburg and Yiwu, we are working with our partners to create a sustainable transport solution for Eurasian freight traffic.
On the European section of the route, the train runs on 100 per cent green electricity. We offset the emissions generated on the remainder of the Eurasian Corridor through Gold Standard-certified climate protection projects. Any goods that fit into a container can be transported: from consumer goods to steel products.
